Always There

Acts 17:32—18:11
A mother awoke from a deep sleep, hearing one of her children babbling somewhere in the dark house. She immediately got up and walked room-to-room as she continued to hear the child say, “Hello. Is anybody there?” continually. As the mother approached the stairs, she noticed two little feet at the top. With a smile she bent over to see her three year old son sitting on the top step happy as a lark repeatedly asking his questions. She replied to her son, “I’m right here.” To which he replied with a blood curdling scream. Apparently, he really did think he was alone.
How amazing is it to know that no matter where we go, God is with us! Even in the darkest of circumstance, we are not alone. That is so freeing! Think of all that can be accomplished if you knew you are not by yourself. God, the Almighty God of the universe, is always with you. Nothing that you do is on your own. What could we do if we simply trusted God to never leave us?

I think we all know God is always with us, but we must learn to really believe it. Like the father in Mark 9: 17-2 our prayer needs to be “Lord I believe, help thou my unbelief.”
