Psalm 145:10-21
We tend to segment our life into church, work, family, play time, and so on. When we go to church and church activities, that is God’s time. We go to church or do our devotions and then continue about our day without a thought to God. The Lord desires to be a part of our entire life. The psalmist talks of a life where God is all. God provides the food that we eat; the health we have. He frees us from oppression. The Psalmist speaks of a relationship with God that is not segmented. Everything is under God.
God desires for us to live in relationship with him. He wants to be a part of our whole day. When we wake, he wants to be there. When we eat, he wants to be there. Even when we do the menial things in life like cleaning, God wants to be a part of it. God wants to walk alongside us as we make our way through life. May we, like the psalmist, refuse to live segmented lives and allow God into our whole being.
