Hebrews 12:14-28

When we think of worship, music is often the first thing that comes to mind. Some folks raise their hands, others bow their heads. Some sing loudly, others close their eyes and sing barely above a whisper. There’s no wrong way to worship God through music as long as we keep our focus on God.

But there are several other ways we can worship Him. Cheerfully giving Him our tithes and offerings is a definite act of worship. Taking communion is another way to worship. And every time we share our faith with someone, we’re worshiping God. Christ has given us the Great Commission and it’s His will that we share our faith. When we follow His will, it’s not only seen as obedience, but also as an act of worship.

God receives our worship through art, prayer, and our consistent surrender to Him. God alone deserves our worship. Worship is an essential ingredient in our relationship with Him and draws us into greater intimacy with God.
