2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Obedience always has direct object or result. That result might be an action out there to be seen by everyone or anyone: such as painting your house or buying a new truck. Or, the effort might only be noticed primarily by only a few persons: like the result of new diet or the commitment to be more patient with people. Everyone could see that, I guess, but only those who know you best and see you the most often will notice first. Then again, it might be seen by no one. Even then, however, actions that begin in the mind end by being demonstrated in some noticeable way.

So it is in the spiritual life. An act of obedience is never really totally private. Someone is always watching, even if they are only watching the changes.

Now, concentrate on those changes which, when seen, will result in praise to God. Ask the Spirit to tell you if there is anything that needs to be remodeled or revamped. You can have confidence that the Spirit will glorify Christ.
