Work The Plan

1 Chronicles 22:5-16
The Lord is the source of all victory, but we must be obedient. God’s promises never waiver, but we sure do! Many of us have learned the painful lesson that our own behavior, especially our disobedience, can thwart or delay what God intended.
God can do anything, and He can do it without us. However, He chooses to involve us in His work. We respond to His invitation with the promise, “Yes, God, I am on Your side. I am in this with You.” So often, however, we want the victory and are quite content to let God do all of the work. We want to win the battle, but don’t want to follow the battle plan.
This approach undermines God’s intentions. We must stay at His side, daily submitting to Him. We would do well to remember what Abraham Lincoln when said when someone asked him if God was on the side of the North in the U.S. Civil War: “My concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.”

EPHESIANS 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God, Jesus, Holy Spirit guide and strengthen me to walk in what you have ordained and purposed my life to be; thank you for my salvation and All Glory belongs to YOU.
