God Won’t Forget You

2 Peter 2:1-11

One of the many reasons we have for hope as Christians is that God loves justice. Those who reject His offer of salvation will be punished, and the faithful will be blessed: If not in this life, then certainly in the next.

We shouldn’t let the injustice in the world cause us to lose hope. No one ever truly “gets away with it.” We need to remember that God doesn’t abandon us in this fallen world. If we simply trust Him He will bring us through any circumstance we may encounter.

For instance, Noah was a righteous man living in a world so corrupt and detestable that God destroyed it, but He saved Noah and his family. Also, Lot was a God-fearing man living in a wicked city called Sodom. God rained fire on that city, but He spared Lot and his family.

The apostle Peter encourages us, “So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment” (2 Peter 2:9). God is a God of righteous justice, and He won’t forget you in your time of need.

This is a reminder to me and confirmation that God is with me all the time. Yesterday, I had a family emergency and for a very short period of time I became emotional then I remembered the Promises of God. His Word says He will never leave me. That my family is the head and not the tail. That I have trained my children up in the ways of the Lord and they will not depart from it. I was reminded that no matter what the circumstances are we as a family do not live by sight but by faith. That my family is an overcomer become we believe in Jesus Christ. That to remain focus on God and I will keep in perfect peace. That Jesus has defeated the enemy on the Cross of Calvary. The enemy has no power or authority over my life or the life of my family. That no weapon formed against me or my family shall ever prosper. Thank you that I have cried out to the Lord and He has heard my prayers. As for me and my house we shall serve the Lord. I praise God even through the storm. I believe and thank God that the storm has passed. God you are faithful. The mountain that this family has faced yesterday, has and will be moved. I have the faith of a mustard seed. Mountain be moved and gone!!! In Jesus Mighty Name.
