The Greatest Gift

Philippians 3:1-14
In Philippians 3, Paul says: “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (vv. 13b-14). No matter what sin we have committed, no matter how many times we’ve chosen to walk our own way, no matter how often we have hurt or been hurt, one thing will never change: the grace God freely extends to us. When Jesus rose after being dead for three days, He presented us with an opportunity to repent of our sins and spend eternity with Him; to leave behind the things in our past and walk forward into victory! It is worth repeating: any sin we have committed–whether seen or unseen–Jesus died, nailed to a cross, so that we would have the opportunity to spend eternity in heaven with Him! Repentance is God’s greatest gift to us! Let us boldly approach the throne room of grace and receive this blessing He has so freely offered!
