Got Confidence?

2 Corinthians 11:16-33
“Knockout punch,” “Fighting fire with fire,” “End of the story,” all these phrases come to mind when we read Paul’s defense of his credentials and experiences. Then Paul relates two things the false teachers not only haven’t done, they wouldn’t. He tells the Corinthian Christians of his care, concern, and identification with them. The picture reminds me of a shepherd with his flock.
Paul ends with an account of how he was lowered from the wall of Damascus in a basket. What a picture of inadequacy, need, and complete dependency! What a picture of trust and confidence! What a picture also of God who is our adequacy, our sufficiency, our confidence, and our trust!
Paul encourages the Corinthians, and us, to think: “Do you really want things that seem to be real, but aren’t? Is what you are putting your confidence and trust in worthy of that confidence and trust?”
Paul would answer, “Only God is the real thing. Only God makes us adequate and sufficient. Only God is worthy of our confidence and trust.”

The world thinks that “reality” is the real world. However, reality is really 3-dementional:
(1) Reality (carries a war of good versus evil)
(2) Holy Spirit
(3) Demonic Spirits
a. The devil is evil.
b. The devil is a liar (John8:44).
c. The devil is a fake.
d. The devil produces opposite to the biblical definition of love
(I Corinthians 13:4-5).
e. The devil also produces opposite to the Fruit of the Spirit
(Galatians 5:22-23).
