Who Do You Trust?

Psalm 116:10-19
Have you ever gone through a time in your life when you did not know which way to turn? You despaired to know how to get relief. Everyone you confided in for advice seemed to have no answer. Mark 5:25-34 tells of a woman who had suffered greatly for years. She had been to all sorts of doctors and had spent all the money she had. Still she was ill. She was desperate!
One day she heard that a teacher named Jesus was to pass her way. She had heard of his power to heal; and she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed” (v. 28). With her plan in mind, she ventured out into the crowd. She squeezed her way through the throng until she was almost to Jesus. Suddenly, she reached out and merely touched the hem of his garment. Immediately, she was healed completely! She knew it; she could feel the difference!
The psalmist in his near-death experience also called on God. The heavenly Father delivered him! In return, the psalmist promised to praise and to obey his Lord.
As we experience God’s deliverance, we can do no less.
