Do Not Be Misled

RG AUDIO 0428121 Corinthians 15:27-34

What we believe about the most important things in life becomes a matter of life and death. Our faith (or lack of it) determines a destiny in heaven or hell. Faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ is worth living for and dying for.

Some will say, “It doesn’t matter what you believe, as long as you’re sincere.” Well, that might be okay if they are talking about nonessentials. It would certainly not be okay if they are denying the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Some in the church at Corinth said there was no such thing as the resurrection (see 1 Cor. 15:12). Since the same power that raised Christ from the dead raises sinners to new life, Paul was alarmed. If they did not believe in the resurrection, how could they be alive in Christ? If they were not alive in Christ, they had not repented of sin and were still living in it. If they were still living in sin, denying the resurrection, and identifying themselves with the church; look out church!

Christ has been raised. Don’t ever let anyone persuade you otherwise.
