Are you Boiling

RG AUDIO 011712Psalm 45:1-9

In Psalm 45, the psalmist is writing about an exciting day, a wedding. It was not just any wedding, but the wedding of the king. When he says “My heart is stirred,” that is an understatement to be sure. More literally the Hebrew word here is saying I am stirred to the point of “boiling over.”

In verse 6 the writer is referring to an earthly king. But these words are lifted to a higher level when quoted in Hebrews. There the reference is addressed to God’s Son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One.

When the Bride of Christ (the Church) meets her King, Savior, Lord, and Groom what a wedding it is going to be! When that day comes worldly political systems, powers, and views will be overthrown and truth, humility, and righteousness will reign. That King’s reign will not be for a few years but forever and ever.

How excited are you about his coming?
