“You’re only as good as your word,” the saying goes. Are you? Do your words connect to authentic truth or just to the way you perceive circumstances around you? If we are only as good as our words, we are in trouble because we need something better than our unreliable words.
The good news is that we have something better. We have God’s words. One researcher discovered more than 3,000 promises in the Bible. Each promise connects to more than sounds and syllables. They connect to the demonstrated character of God. They tell us the stories of God’s power, compassion, and creativity. They always connect to truth. Nothing is more reliable or proven as God’s words.
God will never force his words on us. They are his gift to us. As we enter a new year, nothing provides better direction than the flawless, time-proven, perfect words of God.
