He Is Our God

Hosea 2:14-23
A few years ago, I moved to my current home. Although I was familiar with the area, it took about a year before I felt as if I belonged. My Bible study group was in the previous town. I felt totally alone.
But one constant stayed with me–my relationship with God. I belonged to him, and he was my God. Through the presence of the Holy Spirit, he had moved with me. God helped me choose a new church and directed me to a different small group. God began to open up relationships in the new place.
In the words of King David, I found encouragement: “O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water” (Ps. 63:1).
In the aloneness, he built trust and reminded me once again that I belonged to him.
