Living By Faith
November 19th, 2010
Habakkuk 1:12-2:8
Sunday, December 7, 1941, dawned as any other day, but the sun would set on a very different world. James was on his way to Chicago to provide special music for a revival. As he drove toward Chicago, he heard the devastating news on his car radio. The Japanese had bombed Pearl Harbor. He was instantly aware that his world would change, but he didn’t know exactly how.
A song began to ring in his heart and then the words came.
I care not today what the morrow may bring,
If shadow or sunshine or rain.
The Lord, I know, ruleth o’er everything,
And all of my worry is vain.
Living by faith in Jesus above;
Trusting, confiding in His great love;
Safe from all harm in His sheltering arm,
I’m living by faith and feel no alarm.
