A Life Poured Out
September 10th, 2010
1 Corinthians 15:12-28
The tombstone of missionary William Bromley reads, “A warrior of the cross who poured out his life for God and the people of Jimi Valley.” The Jimi tribesmen were primitive, war-like people, deeply involved in idol worship.
The Jimi people seemed to be without hope. Sickness, tribal wars, and death were a normal part of their lives. Believing that Christ died for their sins and rose again was a concept difficult to accept. They did not understand such a love. Bromley poured out his life for seven years before he saw his first convert, yet he died seeing multitudes won for Christ.
Believing in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is a necessary component of understanding saving faith. Bromley believed and lived the promise that a life fully surrendered to God is made possible because of Christ’s victory over death and sin.

Love getting the devotionals online and the other resources with it. My only comment, would love to have the writers names. Always loved knowing who wrote them and finding many of my favorites. So thankful for the wonderful literature NPH makes available. God bless.

Our western society cities too, are filled with many people who find it difficult to accept the concept that Christ died for their sins and rose again for their deliverance from a godless life. So very important for each of us believers to live our lives witnessing to our incomparable Lord.
