Trust God’s Guidance

Isaiah 42:10-17
Do we really know where we’re going? Yes, if we’re going to the market. Yes, if we’re going to visit a relative. If there’s a place we’re trying to get to, if we don’t know the way, we can just fire up the navigation system on our mobile phones and get turn-by-turn directions.
Okay, so sometimes we know where we’re going. But what if we were looking for life? The deep life that fills our souls and gives us an abounding sense of contentment. Isaiah, the messenger of God, says that God is coming to God’s people to lead them. God calls them blind and says they don’t know where they’re going, but God will lead them.
As Christ followers, we have discovered that Jesus is the way to life (abundant, full, eternal, real, and deep), but we don’t know the way. We need the Lord to lead us and guide us through these ways that are unknown to us.
Today, may we resolve to follow the Lord as we are led by the Spirit into the deep life where God in Christ is taking us.
