Journey of Faith

Galatians 2:15-21
While traveling in Brazil, my wife and I met a minister. His story of faith touched our hearts. As a teen he and his girlfriend (now wife) became involved in drugs, but they later escaped. He was hired to work on a church building where the people were kind, loving, and caring. One day my friends were invited to a church dinner. They accepted but felt unworthy so they sat apart from the others. Suddenly the whole group got up and joined the couple. The following Sunday our friends went to church and heard the message of God’s love and forgiveness. It was in that service that our friends began a journey of a lifetime in faith!
They were both called to ministry. They have co-pastored a congregation in the city of Rio de Janeiro for 24 years. Along with co-pastoring, he has become a district superintendent and she the mission’s director. Many lives have discovered Jesus because this couple found the faith to live in Christ!
