See it Different

John 3:28-36
It’s easy to think about Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross through our human perspective. We often think about Jesus as the “perfect God-man” but today’s scripture passage describes Jesus as He really is. He is the Son of God, the second person in the Trinity, the Savior who made himself nothing “by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness” (Philippians 2:7).
There is no one with more power, more authority in heaven or on earth other than God the Father himself. Jesus set aside His glory to live sinless among us. He set aside His own advantages to go to the cross for our sins. Jesus, “humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!” (Philippians 2:8b). All those who believe in Jesus will be saved from an eternity apart from God.
Today think about the glory, power, and authority of Jesus, the Lamb on the throne who made the ultimate sacrifice to save all those who call on His name. Give Jesus all your praise.
