Praise The Lord

Psalm 148:1-14
A hush falls over the cosmic concert hall as the Maestro steps to His podium. It is a concert of praise, and the music is about to begin. The Conductor takes up His baton. He turns first to the angel chorus. At His call, all the host of heaven raise their voices in praise to Yahweh. Sun, moon, and all the stars join in, declaring the praises of the One who called them into existence and who sustains them in every moment.
Then the Maestro turns to the earth. From beneath the sea, the creatures of the depths join in; whales provide a haunting bass line, while the dolphins sing tenor. Lightning and thunder pulse with the rhythm of praise. The trees of the earth sway with the music as the wild animals and birds join the song.
Just when we begin to marvel that we should be so blessed to witness this praise, He gestures in our direction. It’s our turn to declare the praise of the One who created us and who has redeemed us.
