Life-Light For All

John 1:1-13
The stories were so dark. Yet, the women telling them were so full of light. Hope does this. Love does this. Faith does this. These women had met their Life-Light, Jesus Christ!
They were survivors being restored to the abundant life their Creator had intended for them from the beginning. These women had been rescued from the dominion of darkness and brought into the glorious kingdom of the Son, our Life-Light! (Colossians 1:12-14)
John proclaims that Jesus, the Son, the Living Word was there from the beginning, hovering with the Spirit and the Father in triune relationship, reigning over the chaos of darkness. In that first act of creation, the first word of the Word was “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3). Never again would darkness rule and reign in chaos as it did before the light entered and ordered the world!!
John declares this Light is the very essence of life. He assures that this Light is for all of us!
