2 Corinthians 9:6-15

There is a phrase, “You get what you give.” This is a similar idea to what Paul is telling the Corinthian Christians in this passage. In farming, if you only plant a few seeds you can only grow so much. The more seeds you plant, the more seeds have the opportunity to grow.

In our walk with God, the more we give of ourselves, whether it is our time, talent, or treasure, the more God is able to bless us. This isn’t meant to be a health and wealth gospel. We don’t give in order that we can get more, or nicer things. We are more able to receive the blessings that God wants to give us when we are willing to give away. This may not take a tangible form always. More than likely it is a change of our hearts and perspectives. We begin to see God’s blessings in the everyday moments of our lives.

Today in all that you do, give generously; be open to see how generously God will bless you.
