2 Corinthians 6:3-13

It’s probably safe to say most people have played some form of the game “Truth or Dare” growing up. Many times, humiliating stunts were chosen over being totally and completely honest because it was simply easier than revealing deep, dark secrets to even the closest friends.

When the truth doesn’t display us in the best light, the tempter loves to encourage us to change our story in order to avoid negative consequences. However, straying from the truth has serious repercussions. There is no freedom in blurring the truth.

Jesus Christ is the ultimate truth and the only source of genuine freedom. Complete freedom comes when and only when our lives model His truth. John 8:31 32 says, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” God calls His people to walk the path of truth at all times, not just when it is convenient.
