Psalm 103:11-22

The psalms often refer to God’s eternal nature. Phrases like “everlasting to everlasting,” “through all generations,” and “endures forever” are common word pictures that the psalmist paints. It’s an important point to note because these phrases show that God is undefined by time and space. He was, He is, and He is to come. His presence is forever.

It’s not just His being that is eternal. All of His specific characteristics are also: His love, His patience, His faithfulness, His peace. The list goes on and on! I wonder if we truly understand that. I’m not sure that I do. How can I truly comprehend that His desire for me will never go away, that His passion for me never fades?

Perhaps it is a good thing to struggle to understand the enormity of God. Each day He reveals something new about himself to me. I am always learning, always growing, always moving forward when I am living in His presence.
