Living For Jesus

Galatians 2:11-21
When Christians are baptized via immersion, we go into the water to represent our death to ourselves. Then we come back up out of the water to symbolize new life in Christ. The life we once lived for ourselves, which spoke only of our own wants and desires, is gone and the life we now live belongs to Christ.
The lives we live as Christians are lived for Christ. Our goal is to be living representatives of Jesus. Our words, our actions, and our interactions are to be carried out as if it was Christ speaking, doing, and acting in all things and not ourselves. Everything about how we live is to be reflective of how Jesus would live. It is as if we ourselves are dead and it is Christ who is alive in our stead. Whenever someone interacts with us, it is as if they are interacting with Jesus himself. In all things, at all times, others know the love of God, the grace of Christ, and the forgiveness of Jesus in us and through us. Be Jesus in the world today.
