Ruth 3:10-18

Unlike Naomi’s instructions for Ruth, to wait and see if Boaz was going to become her guardian-redeemer, we don’t have to wait. God has already settled the matter of our redemption. However, our story does not end with our redemption. Redemption is just one location on our journey with Jesus.

God is also our Sanctifier. When we consecrate ourselves to Him, He sanctifies us through and through. The apostle Paul says, “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our lord Jesus Christ, The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24).

We must consecrate ourselves to Him and wait for Him to sanctify us. With redemption and sanctification, we journey on the highway of holiness and happiness. On the journey of holiness and happiness, we need to continually rely on God’s provision.

We don’t want to be on this journey without God’s provisions, because the joy of the journey is found in our relationship with the Redeemer. Will you “wait for God’s provision” today?
