2 Samuel 9:1-13
Think about the love of our God and how His love is reflected through our actions, often looking a lot like kindness.
David showed kindness to Saul’s family. When he could have held onto resentment due to the cruel way Saul treated him, David chose instead to focus on the friendship of Saul’s son Jonathan. He chose to be kind to the lineage of King Saul, instead of holding onto a grudge or wallowing in self-pity. David chose love, which flowed from his heart in an act of kindness to those who had been forgotten.
It is God’s desire to love others through us today, which looks a lot like kindness. Whom is God calling you to reach out to today? What hurts do you need to let go of in order to love as God is calling you to love?
