Wait For The Lord

RG AUDIO 010712Psalm 27

Patience! Wait! Be calm! Relax! Don’t worry! We’ve all know it is not easy to stay in the situation and just wait. The 27th psalm teaches us what to do when life appears to be unfair or the situation seems to be more than we can tolerate.

It’s one thing to wait for a paycheck, for a pill to take affect, or for that perfect mate to come into our life. We are admonished to “wait for the Lord.” He knows exactly what we need and when we need it.

Michelangelo took a piece of marble that other artists had worked with no success. He requested seclusion so he could concentrate on the face he wanted to carve. After some time, he emerged and there was “David.”

In our quiet seclusion with the Lord, we emerge with strong, enduring courage to face the challenges and to submit to the Lord making us more perfectly into his image. Wait for the Lord!
