Growing in Season

Fruit trees flourish with water. Water becomes the delivery system for life-saving nutrients. Even sun without water has disastrous results. The lesson for us is clear as we look toward a new year—find the right water source and plant yourself there.
Jesus announced that he, himself, was living water that sustains, protects, and insures seasonal fruit. When we allow the river of life to flow through us, it encourages the obedience that grows seasonal fruit. The season of grief can grow endurance. The season of pain can grow surrender. The season of joy shares new reasons to trust. Whatever prospers you according to God’s will grows unrestrained when you are planted in the cleansing rush of the very life of God.
The New Year is a new growing season.
