While living in beautiful Colorado, Scott would frequently see a bumper sticker made to resemble a Colorado license plate bearing the single word “NATIVE.” As the state of Colorado became increasing populated with transplants, some residents who had been born in Colorado felt compelled to proclaim their native status.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Because of His provision, I have found forgiveness of my sin through the shed blood of Christ, and I am able to live each day by the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit.
Through my new birth in Christ, I am a native in the “general assembly and church of the firstborn” (Heb. 12:23, KJV). Until I see my Savior face-to-face, I will not give up meeting with my fellow natives in praise and worship. I hope this Sunday you will decide to praise Him in the great assembly of your local church!
