If you had grown up in church in the 1970s, you may have sung a little ditty that likened salvation to "gumdrop holidays." Lately, that tune came to mind, and got me thinking: 1) How did that song ever pass a theology test? and 2) The Christian life is not like "gumdrop holidays."
