Why did I do that? Why did I waste time on the things that fail to satisfy? Temptation surrounds us everywhere. Yet, God has equipped us with strength and armor so we don’t need to succumb to those temptations. We may find it difficult to give our thoughts of sin to God, to trust him for a way out, but without him we will fail. We are called to give our weaknesses to God so he can fill us with his strength. If we turn from the temptation and allow him to handle the issue, he will surely work it out for his good and ours as well.
The reality is that we often fail to turn our thoughts toward our Savior until it is too late. As Christians, we have agreed to lay down our lives, our desires, and give them over to God. There are no regrets in that. You will always feel refreshed and renewed when you have spent time in prayer, on your knees, reading the living Word, seeking answers, and fellowshipping with Christ.
