Love And Faithfulness

Proverbs 3:1-8
How do we outwardly reflect the love and faithfulness of God? We send messages to others by the T-shirts, necklaces, and ball caps we wear, and the tattoos we (or at least some of us) display. We start there, a contemporary binding “them around [our] neck.” More powerfully, we exhibit the love and faithfulness of God by loving the people around us, by witnessing to God’s faithfulness to us, and by reflecting the essence of Jesus to the world.
The inward possession of love and faithfulness is less visible, but just as intentional. We breathe in the love and faithfulness of God. We guard our hearts against sin. We listen for the whisper of the Spirit. We hide the Word of God in our memory, embodying the words of Jesus in Luke 6:45: “The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” That’s how we cling to love and faithfulness.
