Give Thanks
November 19th, 2025
Luke 22:13-22.
Each Sunday in our house church, we gather together with people of all ages. From the youngest to the oldest, we join in worship. At times it has been challenging, with babies and toddlers adding extra sounds and movements to our corporate worship time. We have learned patience and how to help guide even the youngest among us in worship as a community. We fellowship together, sing together, pray together, learn together, and give thanks together.
One of those acts of worship that we partake in each week, with all those present, is communion. We receive communion as a response to the sermon and as an act of worship. All are invited, and as our children have grown, they have joined in participation. The blessing of seeing a child receive communion and respond with “Thanks be to God” can hardly be described. We are all children of God and can receive the grace Christ’s death and resurrection provides to us. Through the Spirit we give thanks for all that God gives.
Today, approach God with the faith of a child, responding to His grace with a word of thanks on your heart and lips.
