Priority No. 1
November 1st, 2025
1 John 5:13-21.
When faced with a task to do, we need to determine what takes priority and what can wait. Many places of work, business, and learning have procedures and protocols—those lists of actions that must take place in response to a situation. In the classroom, there are procedures that help it function in such a way that learning is optimized. Tasks and actions are arranged by priority so that everyone knows what needs to happen now and what can happen later (or not at all).
Some of us take to this methodical way of tackling the situations of life. Others prefer a more fluid approach. No matter your personal preference, we all have to determine what the priority is in order to have the best outcome.
When we enter a relationship with God and join His kingdom as a follower of Christ, we are tasked with finding the priorities in our lives. When we settle on making God our No. 1 priority, all the other demands, schedules, and tasks of life fall into their proper place.
Take stock of your life and see what truly is the first, ultimate priority.
