Siblings

October 4th, 2025

1 Timothy 2:1-7.

Kids who grew up without siblings missed out on a lot. Sure, there are benefits that come with being an “only child,” but there are also things that simply weren’t a part of their childhood. Siblings often fight like cats and dogs. Siblings annoy each other. Siblings breathe each other’s air, and we all know how that ends!

However, no one has your back quite like a sibling. Often, siblings comfort and console one another. They help each other out. Siblings have been known to share secrets; they share the load as their parents age, and their kids become instant friends.

Even if you don’t have siblings, as a Christ-follower, you’ve got brothers and sisters. Just like traditional siblings, there are times when we don’t exactly like each other. In the body of Christ, siblings still experience conflict. Spiritual siblings still annoy one another and breathe each other’s air.

However, brothers and sisters who choose to follow Christ together have each other’s back. They comfort and console one another. They intercede for one another and share each other’s burdens.

In the body of Christ, we’re only alone if we choose to be.
