Romans 12:1-8.

Previously, we talked about the many uncompensated volunteers that God uses to provide leadership within the body of Christ. This is one of the great secrets of the enduring presence of the church of Jesus Christ over the centuries. As the title of this session suggests, we can all be spiritual leaders.

The starting point for exercising leadership in the body of Christ may be different for each person. Looking over the gifts and skill sets listed in our scripture reference can be a bit daunting. There is one common starting point, however, that offers inspiration and motivation.

A good way to engage in spiritual leadership is to begin with your interests. We are not all interested in the same things. This variety has long enriched the church. What catches your attention?

In reflecting on the leadership within Christ’s church over time, it wasn’t what they did, it was the way in which they did it. Diligence, cheerfulness, and the flavor of one’s interests is of great value.
