Hold On

Revelation 2:18-29.
Rachel’s daughter’s favorite ride at Kings Island Soak City Water Park is the Mondo Monsoon. Together, they brave the rapid descent, clinging to their tube as they’re swept through twists and turns. Amid squeals of excitement, they hold on for dear life until they emerge, safe and exhilarated, at the ride’s end.
In verses18-29, Jesus addresses the church in Thyatira, commending their faithfulness but warning against compromise with false teachings. He urges them to hold during trials and temptations, promising His presence and a future return.
Just as Hattie and Rachel clung to their tube in the Mondo Monsoon, Jesus calls us to hold fast to Him during life’s storms. When challenges and trials threaten to toss us about, His promise remains: Hold on! I am with you, and I will come again! (v. 25).
May we anchor ourselves in Christ, remaining steadfast in faith and obedience. In Him, we find strength to endure and hope for the future, knowing that His faithfulness will see us through every tempest.
