Covenant Wisdom?

Proverbs 4:1-9
We live in a world of convenience. On top of in-person options, it seems like everything is available through one website/app or another: fast food, groceries, clothing. You can even make a doctor’s visit online. That is convenient!
However, we can’t place an online order for wisdom or pick some up when we swing by our local convenience store.
Wisdom, like many worthwhile things, isn’t always convenient. I’ve heard wisdom defined as “knowledge applied” and, in more kid-friendly terms, “learning what to do and doing it.” The beginning of Proverbs 4 gives us more insight into gaining wisdom: to listen, pay attention, and do not forsake good instruction.
In our convenient, info-soaked world, it is easy to default to a website, app, or news source to educate ourselves, However, we would be wise to spend time with God through His word and not forsake the wisdom found there. It will guide and protect us along the way, especially amid the plethora of stuff and information all around us.
