I Know You

Psalm 103:13-19
A truth that has been on repeat in Stefanie’s mind lately is this: The days are long but the years are short. Perhaps you can empathize with this sentiment and her situation. You see, in one short year her oldest child will be graduating from high school and moving forward into the next stage of his life. Her mind knows that they have been loving and shaping this child for years.
Being a parent is not an easy task or role. Parenting will tax your strength, physically and mentally. Parenting will be overwhelming at times, both in negative and positive ways. Parenting will require you to live your faith—looking for the good of someone else (your child) in the healthiest, most faithful way.
Given these challenges, who better to be our parent than God? The psalmist notes that God “knows how we are formed” (v. 14). God knows each one of us. God’s love leads us, shapes us, and surrounds us as we move forward through life.
