Watching Me?

April 24th, 2025

2 Corinthians 6:3-13

In our community of faith, all stages of the faith journey are represented by our fellow believers. Life in a Christian community can have its ups and downs. We never know who’s watching us. We never know the full extent of how the journey is going for the quiet believer.

Paul knew that many people were watching from a distance as he made his own personal journey. Empathizing with all of the believers in the community, Paul was committed to four values that underscored his own personal faith.

First, he would never knowingly be a stumbling block to anyone. He paid close attention to every relationship.

Second, his lifestyle would never discredit the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ that he had paid close attention to in his own life.

Third, he refused to leave any challenge unmet. He was willing to pay any cost for the proclamation of the gospel.

Fourth, Paul determined to exclude no one. He kept his heart open to all, and in return asked for a place in the hearts of others.
