Glorious Freedom

Romans 3:21-31
One of my main tasks at the start of spring is yard clean-up. I have just a small patio area, but it seems to take hours to sack up all the fallen leaves and yard debris and haul them to the dumpster. Where I live, we have a clubhouse with an oversized dumpster that is used for big items and yard waste. It’s across the street and up a few hundred yards, so once I’ve sacked everything up, I take the bags one or two at a time up the street to toss them into the dumpster.
This can be a tough job! Depending on what I find in my yard that needs disposing of, those large yard waste bags can get pretty heavy! By the third or fourth trip, I am usually glancing around at the neighboring houses to see if there is anyone who might come to offer help!
Sometimes, we are unable to do things on our own. In Romans 3:21, Paul tells us that justification is a free gift from God, “given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe” (v. 22). We can be thankful that God has given this gift freely!
