Resurrected Life Is for All

April 12th, 2025

Acts 2:29-39

Have you ever felt excluded? Maybe you were turned down for something for which you applied. Maybe you discovered that your friends went on a trip and didn’t invite you. Maybe someone close to you shared something personal with others, but left you out of the loop. Being excluded doesn’t feel good.

In the early days of the church, it was crucial that people understood the good news of the gospel. That is, the good news that Jesus lived, died, and rose again so that all people could be brought into a right relationship with God by placing their faith in Christ and living daily in obedience to Him.

Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Salvation is not something we earn, are born into, or gain through special membership (Ephesians 2:8-9). The message of the gospel is, “No matter who you are or what you’ve done, Jesus died and rose again for you.” No one is left out or excluded, not you, or your neighbors, or your family members, or your coworkers, or . . . .

Today, may we give glory and honor to the resurrected Christ who offers salvation to all.
