It’s All About God’s Timing

Timing is everything. For example, you never tell the punch line of a joke at the beginning or yell “Happy Birthday” at a surprise party 10 minutes before the person arrives. Right timing means something should happen at a particular point in time.
Jesus was with His disciples when He heard His friend Lazarus was sick. However, rather than immediately going to him, Jesus waited a few days before heading to Judea. He declared that although Lazarus had “fallen asleep” (died), He was going there to “wake him up” (raise Lazarus from the dead) (v. 11). For Jesus, timing was important.
There have been times when I prayed for God to work “now,” only to realize later that immediate action was not the best solution; God was working things out according to His timing.
Sometimes we pray and the answer comes quickly. It is in those difficult times we must put our trust in God, knowing that He hears and is working in ways we may not see or understand.
Today, may we release our burdens into God’s hands, knowing God’s timing is always the right timing!
