Evil Doesn’t Win

Isaiah 40:18-24

A woman in Bible study shared that her eight-year-old grandson went from being a happy little boy to completely shutting down overnight. She asked for prayer and God’s mighty intervention in his life. I had just taken a seminar on how predators can prey on young children in as little as 15 seconds of computer time while the parent is out of the room. I shared this with her, and her daughter was able to find out that this was exactly what had happened. They were able to get the boy some help and file a police report.

There have been a few times as a pastor when I’ve had to remind myself of God’s promise that wolves, people who are truly evil at heart, will one day come to nothing. Those who try to rule through their manipulative, deceptive ways will be destroyed.

We know the end of the story. God is above all, in all, and through all. Even when it looks like evil is taking the upper hand, evil doesn’t win. The Lord reigns, and He will reign forevermore.
