Transformative Power

Romans 10:9-15
Transformers have been a favorite toy for years now. They start out as one thing and can change into something completely different.
Some people struggle with finding and keeping salvation. They find themselves in a circular pattern of going back repeatedly to ask God to forgive them. They can’t understand how to truly change, and find themselves wondering if they cannot stop sinning.
The thing many people misunderstand is that Jesus did not die on the cross so that we could live in sin, asking for forgiveness over and over again. Rather, the blood of Jesus has the power to wash us clean from our sins and to transform our lives.
When we truly confess Jesus as Lord of our lives, we are transformed into a new creation. The old self no longer reigns, but Christ takes the throne. This transformation is not done in our power. God Almighty, who can do the impossible, transforms us. God will transform all who call on His name and put their trust in Him.
