Smooth

Isaiah 26:7-10
My family likes to sled in a nearby park. Although this park has four sledding paths, they are not equal.
The first kind of path is newly forged. It is not packed down and provides tons of resistance. It is a difficult and requires effort every step of the way. The second path is a bumpy one: a large set of stairs are in the middle of the sledding slope. This path is faster than the first one, but it is filled with hard bumps that can leave sleds and bones broken.
Next, we have the forged paths, which are much smoother. They are fun, safe, and comfortable. However, while you’ll get to the bottom, you’ll miss out on the full experience.
Finally, we come to the hill where derby cars are raced in the summer. Its foundation is smooth and paved. Choosing this path will ensure the smoothest, fastest, and farthest ride!
Our spiritual lives are a lot like these sledding hills. Do you find yourself holding back? Looking for an easy path? Forging ahead on your own? Trust fully in the Lord. He will smooth your path.
