John 14:15-21
It must have been pretty cool hanging out with Jesus. I’m not just considering the supernatural; I’m thinking about ordinary times. After all, while Jesus was indeed fully God, He was also fully human.
I like to think that His friends truly missed Him after He left. They probably talked about how the neighborhood kids enjoyed tossing the ball with Jesus and how Jesus would laugh at any joke, despite how bad it might have been.
We can’t ask Jesus about His favorite color or get His help with the groceries. However, The Holy Spirit. While the Holy Spirit’s job isn’t changing tires or washing dishes, the Spirit is constantly interceding with the Father on our behalf. He is our comforter and our biggest fan. The Holy Spirit interprets our hearts, even when we are unable to articulate our thoughts.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to eat chips and queso with Jesus. However, it’s super cool that Jesus was thinking of us so long ago, ensuring that we are never alone.
