Christ Must Reign

1 Corinthians 15:20-28

Many people are wired these days to solve problems in a quick manner. We’ve grown accustomed to addressing our problems in a manner consistent with most television sitcoms or mystery dramas. It occurs in this order: a problem, tackling a problem, solidifying “who did it,” and the solution or outcome.

The kingdom of God has seen more than 2,000 years of the initial problem (sin), the problem manifested (sinful behavior in humanity), a solution (Jesus’ atoning work on the cross) and then we wait for the final “must” of kingdom reign. Paul leads us through this linear passage of problem, problem played out, solution, and then he guides us to the ultimate solution. He reminds us that Christ must reign, and death will be defeated.

The truth for us today keeps us looking ever to Him to honor Him, adore Him, be filled continuously by Him, and trust Him, for He will reign and of His kingdom, there will be no end.
