Hebrews 10:15-25

“You have my full confidence.” Have you ever heard someone say that? When a person tells another that they have given them their full confidence, it means more than just a surface-level trust. The confidence being expressed—connoting entirety, being “fully” invested—is one which will completely depend on the actions of the one in whom confidence is being placed. To give someone else one’s fullest confidence is to entirely trust their judgment based on prior behavior that has demonstrated the necessary character and patterns.

Chapter 10 of Hebrews calls on the reader to draw near to God with sincerity and full assurance in the person of Jesus Christ. We are told that we can draw near with faith because Jesus, as both the high priest and the sacrifice himself, has mediated our cleansing by His blood. We can have the fullest confidence in Jesus through faith that He is who He says He is, and that He literally laid His body on the line to make a way for us. So, let us draw near!
