There Is A God Who Can
September 4th, 2024
Daniel 2:24-28
King Nebuchadnezzar, an evil tyrant who has already sentenced others to die for their inability to tell him his dream and its meaning, demands of Daniel, “Can you tell me my dream and what it means?” Notice that a key word is omitted from Daniel’s response to the evil king. That word is, “I,” as in, “I can do this.”
Beware of those who would take credit for what only God can do. Daniel says no human can accomplish the miracle, but there is a God who can. He humbly gives all the glory to a God the king has never met.
Whatever we think we have accomplished and whatever lofty goals we have for the future . . . these are really all illusions.
There is a God in heaven who accomplishes great things each moment of every day, but nothing has been accomplished around Him, behind Him, or without Him.
